Fortune Seekers Rulebook & Introductory Expedition

Fortune Seekers is a tabletop role-playing game of globetrotting adventure and swashbuckling action where you step into the mud-covered boots of daring treasure hunters and race around the world to uncover rare antiquities lost to time. There will be long-lost clues to decipher, ancient puzzles to solve, treacherous traps to navigate, and dastardly villains trying to beat you to the prize. Think Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, or Uncharted.

The core rulebook is a 132 page book designed to look like an archaeological academic journal titled A Fortune Seeker's Introduction to Artifact Acquisition, written in 1936, and passed down from owner to owner until it reaches you. Scribbled in the margins and tucked between the pages, you may find notes, diagrams, maps, or other ephemera left behind from those who had the book before you. 

It also contains everything you need to start playing Fortune Seekers today: all of the foundational rules for the players and the Keeper, as well as an introductory expedition. This expedition, Raiders of the Lost Cat, will find your fortune seekers traveling deep into the heart of the Amazon in search of an ancient idol worth more than its weight in gold.

Mechanically, Fortune Seekers is inspired by games like Blades in the Dark, Monster of the Week, and Apocalypse World. It uses a simple 2d6 resolution system with three tiers of success to keep play fast, fun, and focused on action and adventure. Pulp adventure archetypes are explored through playbooks which provide every character with unique gear, contacts, actions, and abilities.
